Cameras

I bought my first SLR 35mm film camera and lens in the early 1990's. Since then I have upgraded the lens and the body a few times. These days I've been lucky enough to be able to afford some quite good equipment and this, coupled with a bit of experience, is helping me to get a few not bad pictures these days. Of course, I've also benefited from learning to use the benefits of digital photo editing software.

The links below describe the various cameras and lenses I have used over the past few years and describes what I have found to be their advantages and the disadvantages. There is also a link that tries to explain in simple terms what I have learned about camera jargon and a few tips that have helped me to improve a little. I've even had a dabble with digiscoping and describe what kit I bought and how I used it to get some reasonable pictures. I no longer do digiscoping and have sold my kit to concentrate on using the digital SLR cameras and lenses. However, it is a relatively low cost option for really long range bird photography.
