Basic image sharpening using Photoshop CS2

The following image has a slightly soft feel to it and I want to make it sharper.

So first of all I select 'Filter', then 'Sharpen' and then 'Sharpen' again. As shown below.

And that's all there is to it. The amount of sharpening is only very slight but just about discernable.

There is a 'Sharpen More' option, which always over does it in my opinion, and a 'Sharpen edges' option which almost always displeases me also. As such I hardly ever use these. In fact, I hardly ever the basic sharpening filter these days. I prefer to use Smart Sharpen which is much better and much more flexible.
