My bird-watching experiences further a field

Away from my local patch, I'm always looking for opportunities to see and photograph birds. This is especially true when I'm away on holiday, although my holidays are either family holidays or holidays with my wife and not therefore dedicated to bird-watching. I've still managed to have some interesting bird-watching experiences, both abroad and in the UK, and thought that I'd start to share some of these with you readers from time to time. Those shown in red below have been added since the last newsletter dated 01 July 2008.
